Queen of Beer Hall of Fame


      The "Queen of Beer" (QOB) women's homebrew competition is a BJCP and AHA sanctioned competition that is open to all non-commercial, home brewed beer and meads produced by persons of female gender. Beer produced by or with the assistance of persons of the male gender is not eligible.

      All 28 of the 2008 BJCP Style categories (http://www.bjcp.org/stylecenter.html) are open for entry. Depending on the amount of entries, some categories may be combined for judging.

      Registration is accomplished using a web browser based registration Wizard that helps you enter your beers into a style category and creates bottle labels based on your registration information.

      Ribbons are awarded for first, second and third place in each category (if point requirements are met). The first place winners in each category will have her beer included in the Best of Show, Queen of Beer judging round. Judging is by invitation only.


Wendy Schmidt of Springfield, VA won Queen of Beer for 2012 with a Mild!
This is Wendy's second reign as Queen of beer. Here are all of the results for 2012.
Mary Wieler of Hayward, California won Queen of Beer for 2011 with a Semi-sweet Mead.  With her win Mary brings the Queen of Beer title back to California after a four year run in Colordao.   Here are all of the results for 2011.
Kelly Kruegel of Parker, Colorado won Queen of Beer for 2010 with a Biere de Garde  With her win Kelly keeps the Queen of Beer title in Colorado for a fourth straight year.   Here are all of the results for 2010.
Kelly Floyd of Arvada, Colorado won Queen of Beer for 2009 with an Octoberfest   And once again there were entries from Alaska to Florida.   Here are all of the results for 2009.
Emily Heaton of Fort Collins, Colorado won Queen of Beer for 2008 with a German Pilsner   There we 94 entries from Alaska to Florida.   Here are all of the results for 2008.
Kelly Floyd of Arvada, Colorado won Queen of Beer for 2007 with an English Mild   And once again there were entries from Alaska to Florida.   Here are all of the results for 2007.
Wendy Schmidt of Springfield, VA won Queen of Beer for 2006 with a Imperial Stout!   For QOB 2006 the competition entries broke the 100 mark for the first time.   And once again there were entries from Alaska to Florida.   Here are all of the results for 2006.
Linda Rader of Amherst, NY won Queen of Beer for 2005 with "Old Rasputin" a Russian Imperial Stout!   For QOB 2005 the competition had entries from 12 different states ranging from Alaska to Florida.   Here are all of the results for 2005.   And here is the award winning recipe for "Old Rasputin".
Annie Johnson of Sacramento CA won Queen of Beer for 2004 with "Porch Monkey" a spice beer with bittersweet chocolate espresso beans.   Annie managed to have 4 beers on the Best of Show panel!
